Northeast Creek Reservoir

A Louisa County Water Authority water supply lake that was opened to fishing in 1987. This 187-acre reservoir had about 30 acres of standing trees left after construction, which now provides excellent cover for fish and fishing opportunities for anglers. The lake contains largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, crappie, chain pickerel, and channel catfish. Open year round: one-half hour prior to sunrise until one-half hour after sunset. Gas powered motors prohibited. Fishing by permit only which may be purchased at Louisa Water Authority (540) 967-1122.

Shenandoah Crossing

The 18-hole “Shenandoah Crossing” championship course features all the hallmarks of Virginia golf. Designed by Raymond F. Loving, Jr., the Shenandoah Crossing golf course opened in 1991 and offers a treat for the recreational golfer and a challenge for the most serious golfer. Come play several rounds of miniature golf at the Wolf Eagle Mining Company. This 18 hole lighted putting course traverses a natural wooded area. The holes are outlined with bricks and feature undulations that add to the difficulty of the course. There is a pebble walkway for those who do not wish to play but just enjoy a walk in the woods. The main feature is the mine and waterfall between the 7th and 9th holes.
