TeenQuest Teen Center

With the start of a new school year, we will once again open our TeenQuest Teen Center at the Betty Queen Center in the Industrial Air Park. Open in the afternoons until 6:00 p.m., the Teen Center is the place to be after school for students in Grades 6 through 10. It’s a great place to hang out while parents are working. We provide transportation from the Middle and High Schools to the Teen Center. There is time for students to unwind from school and get themselves a snack, and maybe play some pool, foosball, or a video game. Following that, there is time which can be used to do homework or some other quiet activity like reading or doing sudoku puzzles. Once homework is over, teens can choose from a variety of activities…sometimes it’s watching a new film release (PG or PG-13 only), playing Wii, PlayStation or xBox 360 games, and sometimes it’s a team challenge game that will encourage teamwork and challenge the imagination or playing basketball in the gym when schedules permit. We are always bringing in new activities for the students to try. Just stop by and fill out the registration packet and pay the fee to become our newest Teen Center member! Louisa Parks and Recreation at (540) 967-4420
